Shot number two of me in the armory during a duty day security alert. Being the armorer, once everyone's armed and deployed, my job is to hold the armory secure until the end of the scenario, whether it's a drill or real. Which is cool, because I get to arm myself however I damn well please.
This one was taken while me and the command duty officer were waiting in the armory for the teams to come back, after he asked how the hell a person was supposed to use a weapon like that, hence my pose. The weapon is an M60 machine gun with a 100 round belt in a condition 3 load (for display purposes, if I was really about to destroy someone I'd have it set to condition 1). Normally we don't use rifles and machine guns within the ship due to the chance of a ricochet, but I had no qualms keeping a machine gun in this case since there's only one way down to the ship's armory, and that's via a steep stairway that's only wide enough for one person at a time, which is visible from the armory door Someone holding that with a machine gun could be there for days. The weapon in the thigh holster is a standard 9mm Beretta. I figure anything I can't drop with a machine gun, I can distract by throwing the pistol at it while I lock myself into the armory.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. Please give your time to this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here.
